Building on the basic gear ratio app, the thrust curve app will allow users to mock up the engine torque curve for two cars, and the chart will display those curves overlaid on gear ratios to give ‘Wheel torque vs Wheel speed’, AKA the thrust curve.
The thrust curve is what you as the driver feels when you accelerate full throttle through the gears. Power, torque, gearing, revs, shift points, power bands, the whole lot, in one graphic.
In addition to the thrust curve, this app includes parameters for drivetrain types, tyre friction, CG, wheelbase, weight distribution, frontal area and drag co-efficient and combines the whole lot into a .1 second interval drag race simulation. This allows an accurate to .1 second calculation for:
1/4, 1/2 & 1 mile ETs and trap speeds.
0-60, 0-100, and user definable V1mph – V2mph times.
Aero limited top speed and cruising RPM.
